Father's Day Project (Part One)

Hello Stampers!
All of the supplies that coordinate with the Nautical Expedition DSP are still on my craft table, so I thought I'd use them again tonight.  I wanted to use my mini milk carton die and make one of those sweet little milk carton carriers that are everywhere on the internet.  I thought that they would be great for a father's day gift since my dad loves his little treats.  I thought about filling them with all of Dad's favourites...cashews, jelly beans, peanuts, and scotch mints... and then slipping a little gift card in there  somewhere.  Anyhow... all that thinking about goodies made me start craving chocolate chip cookies, so I ended up in the kitchen after only making two of the cartons.  Here is a picture of one of them, and I will upload the entire project when I'm done.  Have a great day!

Trying something different!

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by!  After a fabulous long weekend on the West Coast, I am back home and enjoyed a little stamping time this evening.    Here is what I came up with...

And I will give you the side view and then explain what I did...
I wanted to make a big card that I could use for a wedding, perhaps a little inspired by all the wedding talk this weekend.
I used the Sail Away individual stamp, and stamped with Early Espresso on the Nautical Expedition DSP.  I then used a window sheet as an overall.  I stamped the window sheet with Versamark using the Medallion background stamp.  Then, I heat embossed using clear embossing powder... I and I am loving the look.  I had no idea you could heat emboss on window sheets, I always assumed they would melt, but they look great!
Well..thats it for tonight...I'm off to mow the lawn!

Who Woulda Thunk It?

Well... I've been a bit blown away...(heheheh)
I expidited my last order (a small extra fee to have your order here asap!  You should try it next time!)  and the lovely truck pulled up to my door this afternoon!  I think the delivery guy thought I was a bit crazy as I shouted "It has STAMPIN UP! written on the box!!!" (My effort at speeding him up in finding the box in the back of his truck!)
So as soon as the munchkins were snoring this evening, I was ripping into that box like it was Christmas!  I have been seeing some amazing things done with this little stamp that I completely overlooked when I flipped through the summer mini catalogue.  I never thought I would like it, let alone be able to do anything worthwhile with it.  Well, I'm pretty sure I was wrong!  I love this card!  If you are a club member this week, you are one of the lucky ones who gets to make a wonderful "guy" card!  Never an easy task, but so much simpler with this  great individual stamp!  Enjoy!

Another Take-out box

I love making these little take out boxes using the petal one die (which, by the way, is carried over if you happened to miss ordering it from the occasions mini catalogue! 43.95)  This week, I have a mother and daughter hosting a workshop with me... the daughter is an early teen and really loves stamping with her mom!  So I thought that she deserved her own little hostess gift, too!  I can't spoil the surprise and tell you whats in them, but I'm pretty sure they will get some use out of the goodies!  I monogrammed them using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet (set of 12) Medium sizzlits Dies for the big shot!  Gotta get one of those soon if you haven't already!
Happy Stampin'!

Monochromatic Madness!

Hello Everyone,
I sure hope you are liking all these monochromatic items lately, I am having too much fun making them.  I promise, I'll make some other samples very soon, so be sure to check back often!
Here is another take-out box, made using the petal cone die for the Big Shot (Mother's Day seems like the perfect occasion to treat yourself!), if you are looking for a very versatile 3-D die, this one fits the bill nicely.
Maybe a pretty set of pearls inside for a special occcasion?   I wouldn't complain....

More black and vanilla

Hello Everyone,
I had a great night last night with two of my favorite stampers who came over to check out my new display shelf.  One of them, a great friend and downline member, Tanya, brought her fun flowers die for me to play with.  I am in love.... sigh.....
I made this card using the same colour scheme that I have been following, Black/Natural/Very Vanilla, and created the background by using the Very Vintage Wheel.  I love making backgrounds this way.... such a quick way to create your own designer paper!  Hope you like this card...

Working on a new Display

Happy Hockey Night!
I have been working on a new display for my workshop.  My display shelves have been bothering me for awhile (I realized that I have had one card up there since the catalogue came out last July!), so I have decided to do some spring cleaning and "freshen everything up"!
My sister swapped a card with me recently, which used Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  I thought it was absolutely gorgeous!  So I decided to start with this colour scheme as the inspiration for my new display.  I am having alot of fun!  I hope you like this card!

More Friends 24-7

I really like this set, I have since I first saw it in the catalogue, and I just haven't picked it up in a long time so I am having fun playing with it again!  This card uses Naturals Paper (there are matching envelopes!!!), Very Vanilla CS, and Basic Black CS.  I ran the very vanilla throught the Big Shot using the lattice embossing folder to create a linen embossed look.  I also stamped the Naturals paper using versamark, and then smooched a little spritz on it.  Very pretty in real life.  I hope you enjoy this little spring time robin!
