Yes, you are still in the right place!!! Hopefully you are finding this new blog layout to be a bit easier to read.  I was finding the old font difficult to read, so I hope you enjoy!
Happy Stampin!

Domestic Goddess

I am not a domestic goddess, but I am loving the new DSP by the same name.   I am adding to my display shelf using this paper set with Pool Party and Calypso Coral...think refreshing!
Here is a card that I made using this paper and the Nursery Times stamp set.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (a must have!)

oops...here is that card...

Backgrounds stamps...have you got yours?

OK, so my new obsession in the stamp world may be all of the amazing new background stamps in the new catalogue!!!  I like big stamps, less space left over for me to mess up! LOL...  The following card uses both the En Francais and Sunflower background stamp.  Here is the quick version....

• Stamp En Francais using crumb cake on Natural Ivory paper.
• Stamp Sunflower using versamark and emboss using clear embossing powder.
• Sponge Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and So Saffron from center to edge starting with darker colours first.
• Stamp greeting, punch out, and adhere...

New Colours are Perfect!

Have you got your hands on the new catalogue yet?  It is simply amazing!  I am so happy to put last year's on the shelf and dig in to all the fun new papers, colours, tools!!!   Stampin' Up! must have a new design team, because the samples this year are fabulous!
I made a birthday card for Bryce's cousin, Ashley, who babysits our kids when Im at work.  She is such a sweet young lady, and its her 19th birthday today... here is what I made...

These great new colours are a part of this years in colour collection... pool party (the lighter colour) and island indigo.. I'm just waiting on my big shipment to arrive on Friday, it has some pool party ruffled ribbon in it that I am dying to use.

Anyhow... off to the pool for the afternoon!

Sweet and Sour Thank-yous

Hello Stampers,
Have you checked out the retired list yet?  So many great stamp sets, papers, and embellishments are on their way out the door.  I went through my stash last night and made a little tribute to one great DSP   that is leaving us at the end of the month, sweet and sour.  You can still purchase this amazing paper from my website   http://www.brendareed.stampinup.net/   Be sure to check the clearance bin, too, before you check out, as there are some fantastic deals to be had.
I have an idea brewing that is going to require alot of thank-you cards, so I sat down and made a few... here is what I came up with...

And if you have been wondering where on earth I go to when Im not posting, here is a little glimpse at some of the things we get up to around here....

Making lavendar lemonade with the recipe Aliyah got from her field trip to the Lavender Labrynth.

Spreading easter crepe strips all over the deck.. Addisyn looks "busted"!

See that intent look in his eyes?  He has spotted the quad!  Getting to be such a big boy!

Anyhow... thanks for checking in...

Lots of Giggles around here

Tonight as I was bathing Addisyn, Aliyah asked if she could just stick her feet in for a quick scrub.  Since she had already showered this morning, I said okay and walked back out to the kitchen to check on Carter.  All of sudden she is laughing hyserically and calling me..  I go back to find that she slipped into the bubble bath, fully clothed, and it has struck her funny bone.  Oh how they keep me busy!
I apologize for no pic, but I wanted to let you know that the retired list is now available!  Wow...some really great sets are going that I am going to miss for sure!  Friends 24-7 (tear), Sock Monkey and Accesories (I made my sons birth announcements with him!)  Bugs and Kisses (it was on my purchase soon list!)  Anyhow... this just means one thing... we will soon be holding the new catalogue full of great new stuff!  I would recommend that when you puruse the retiring list and would like to order something before its gone forever, that you place your order directly online so as not to miss anything (once they are sold out, thats its...gone!)  Don't forget that when you place an online order, the same hostess rules apply... spend 200 and receive 20 dollars in free product and a level one stamp set.  AND> you can also order online from the clearance rack for some fabulous deals!
