This one if for Brandee!

I have a friend who is attending a wedding soon, and she was asking for ideas for a wedding card.  I really like the rich colours of this one, something a little regal about a wedding!!!  So here it is, Brandee, I created the card using Rich Razzleberry as my main colour.  The embossing on the back of the card was made using Versamark inside the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for the Big Shot (what are you waiting for?  you know you need your own ;)  The heart stamp comes from a current hostess set, and has a coordinating punch..  how fun?
Hope you like it...

Hello Again!

Hello Everyone,
If you have been wondering where I have been....its tax time.      ughhh... I attempted to do it myself this year using Turbo Tax.  Well, there was no turbo at the speed I went, and well, in order in finish the taxes I made a harassing call late at night to an accountant friend and he saved the day!  So finally, that is over, yeah!  and now I've had some time to stamp again.
I made a little take-out boxes filled with Stampin' Up! goodies as a door prize for Friday night's Stampin For Sendai fundraiser in which funds go to the Red Cross to aid in the Japanese diaster relief.  Its a great cause, if you haven't signed up yet, let me know if you can make it, the more the merrier in this effort!
If you want to see inside you will just have to come on Friday...

Easter Treat

I enjoyed spending last night with my upline at a downline meeting.  We made a couple of really cute projects, which I have to photograph and post for you!  One of the things that she showed us how to do was how to use the Petal Cone Punch to make this adorable Easter treat holder.  I would love to show you how to make it, book a party with me soon to learn how!

Clean and Simple

I found a card by a very talented demonstrator, Nancy Littrell, and knew that I had to CASE (copy and share everything) it.  When I went to my stamp room, however, I didn't have a few things that she had to make the card.  So with a few substitutions, this is my version of her card.  I loved how quick and easy it was to make such an effective card.

Cracked Glass

I really like the look of cracked glass on stamped images.   This effect is very simple to create using glassy glaze, versamark, and a heat gun.  I wanted to pull out my nature walk set again, as it will be gone on April 30th, I am really hoping that this set makes it into the new Idea Book and Catalogue, due to come out in July!  The colours that I used today were Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy.
Happy Stampin!

Another Just For You

Whenever I see something cute, I have to throw it into my shopping cart!  I always justify this by saying "I'm sure I can do something great with this!"  So tonight I grabbed a few of the little things I had laying around....a set of cute tissues, one new stamp, a metre of ribbon, 3 flower brads, and a itsy bitsy spray bottle (found on Ebay) filled with Stampin' Mist.  I'm very happy with this little gift, and will pass it along to a hostess sometime soon!  I hope she likes it!

Monkey Business!

I had some time to myself this afternoon, a rare thing to have, so I stopped into my stamp room to play for awhile.  I saw a card similar to this on Stampin' Connection... a fabulous online resource exclusively for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  I used crystal effects on the ballooons to make them shine!

Oops!

Sorry, here is the picture of that card!

Inspired by Mom

I could tell you by the age of 3 that my mom's favourite colour is YELLOW!  Sometimes when we are out and about, I will pick up a little yellow potted flower, and as soon as my girls give it to her she always says..."and its yellow...its so pretty!'
So tonight, when I sat down to play in my stamp room I had a Mother's Day card in mind, and automatically I had to use Daffodil Delight...it is a bright and playful yellow.  I paired it with Marina Mist, as this is probably my favourite colour right now (and truth be told I had ribbon to match both colours!)  5 little basic rhinestones at the bottom of the blossom give it the little punch that it needed, and what mother doesn't love "diamonds"?  I know that my mom will like this card inspired by her!

Cutting Up Your Stamps!

Have you ever looked at a stamp and thought "This would be perfect if it didn't have...."?  I loved this Tiny Teacup individual stamp, but wasn't sure that I always wanted the hello with it.  So I cut them apart!  This is what the stamp looked like when it arrived in the box...

Then I took my Craft and Rubber scissors and trimmed off the hello.  (Always use straight lines when trimming your stamps)

Here it is double mounted, don't forget to trim the sticker as well and mount on the opposing side.

And here is a picture of the card that I made using my tiny teacup.  I think it is sweet, and the perfect card to drop in the snail mail!

A Little Something....

I held the first night of a new Stamp Club last night, and it was such a great time!  There is one lady in the group who has become our little treat fairy!  She always has a little something for us and casually hands them out at the beginning of class, and everyone looks forward to see what her creation will be!  This was last nights treat... A sour cream container made out of vellum, and filled with little chocolates!  How cute are these?  Thanks so much to our treat lady!

I have hummed and  haaa'ed over the Happy Together Stamp Set in the 2010/2011 Stampin' Up! catalogue, and when the opportunity came to get it for free during Sale-A-Bration, I decided to go ahead and order it.  I am so glad I did, the little quail are just too darned cute!  I often refer to my children as my "gaggle", so I thought it would make a perfect Mother's Day card!  I used my colour coach to help pick out some colours that I don't normally reach for, this combo was Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum, and Always Artichoke!

PinWheel Card

At the Regional Seminar, one demonstrator had made a pinwheel card, and I was in awe!  I had no idea how she made such an intricate card for a swap!  So time consuming (or so I thought!)  I decided to try one tonight after being prompted by another demonstrator, so after looking up a tutorial, here is what I came up with!  Easy Peasy!  I would love to show you how to make this card, book your party in March with me and I promise this will be one of our projects!  Contact me to book your workshop now, hurry, before Sale-A-Bration ends on March 25!

Card

My daughter has a birthday party to attend tomorrow morning, so I whipped up a square card for her to attach to her gift.  I love the Crazy for Cupcakes set, so many cute images!  I used my Scallop Square die for the Big Shot to create the scalloped inlay.  Hope you enjoy!
